Internships interior and abroad

Internships during studies have a large number of advantages. They provide insights into professional practice, allow students to apply what they have learned academically in specific fields of activity, and can make it easier to start a career. The Department of Business and Economics recommends that its students complete internships during their studies.

  • Integrate the internship into your studies

There are basically two possibilities to complete internships during the course of studies. The lecture-free period after the summer or winter semester can be used to complete an internship of several weeks to about two months. However, since many internships are tailored for a longer period of time or for a different period of time, you can also complete an internship of several months during a semester of leave. During this semester of leave, you are only required to pay the administrative fee and semester fee, and tuition is waived for that semester. However, you may not take any examinations during the semester of leave.

  • The Bachelor module "Internship plus" of the Center for Key Qualifications

As part of your Bachelor's degree at the University of Freiburg, you can have a voluntary four- or six-week internship in the area of vocational field-oriented competencies recognized. The module "Praktikum plus - Kompetenztraining und Berufsfeldorientierung" of the Center for Key Qualifications is the keyword here.
